Mark Chandler is the founder of ACT Solutions Corp www.ACTSolutionsCorp.com, a consultancy focusing on speeding development of cosmetic and pharmaceutical products with the goal of enhanced aesthetic appeal and efficacy.

Mark is a veteran almost 30 years in the personal care industry, most of which with the Croda/Uniqema/ICI Surfactants companies as Technical Manager (though with early stints in Marketing, Sales, and Strategic Planning/Acquisitions.) Mark has had the privilege of working and interacting with some of the finest technical people in the industry, including Dr. Wiechers, Philip Haw, Don Courtney, Dr. Chris Dederen, Ken Klein, and Bill Griffin.

He has taught Cosmetic Formulation for the Society of Cosmetics Chemists (SCC) for more than a decade, teaches on emulsions and skin care formulation design for the Center for Professional Advancement, and will be teaching the Cosmetic Raw Materials course for the SCC starting in December 2012. Mark has given technical presentations all over the US and in more than a dozen foreign countries in South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Mark has been very active in the SCC and most recently served as Society President (2023).
